Ray Genrich Jamie Zajicek
3510 Field Crest Way 8106 Burr Oak Trail
dison, WI 53719 Cross Plains, WI 53528
REZONE APPLICATION INFORMATION
DANE COUNTY LAND REGULATION AND RECORDS
The Rezone Request of the Farrell Trust
The property of the following legal description R2451/60-12/10/80 SEC 16-7-7
N1/2 NE1/4 SW1/4 town of Cross Plains, Dane County, WI, has been owned by the
Farrells since 1907.
The land is ideal property to be changed to two parcels. One parcel an RH-2 and
the other an RH-3 per the Cross Plains Township Board. The Township Board stated that
the land meets what is called Substandard Parcel. The twenty acres is actually two parcels
of land by structure. The land splits due to a township road going through the land.
There are 4 1/2 acres on the south-west side of the road and 15 1/2 acres on the north-east
side of the road. The land is all woods with a few small dips in it. This land is good
presently for trees and wild game. The addition of two residential sites would still leave
the land approximately 90%to its original state. By the rezone changes, it would place
the land to its full productive cost-effective value. It would make the land valuable to the
owners as well as the community, township and the county.
The approval of residential zoning does not mean the woods and wildlife would be
destroyed. We, the owners, are very interested in forestry and conservation practices. We
do not want to destroy what is there, but contribute whatever we can to make the land
prosper from us living there.
Our homes will be designed to meet all requirements and will be built far enough
from the road to eliminate viewing from the road. Our plans are to build yet this fall if
weather permits. If not, then we will have to wait until next year.
The property is located on Observatory Road. The road is all blacktop/asphalt
with the electricity and telephone service already installed, maintained along side of the
road which places no additional burden on the community.
The Township Board has been very supportive and has not one objection to the
zone changes. They support us 100%.
We, Ray Genrich and Jamie Zajicek, are two families whom love the outdoors and
feel we have found the right place to build our homes.
