Gary& Yolanda Stuettgen
680 Dunn Ave.
Oregon, WI 53575
June 17, 1997
Zoning and Natural Resources Committee
Town of Rutland
To Whom It May Concern:
We are writting this letter as part of the requirements for a rezoning permit within the
township of Rutland. We have lived in the village of Oregon since June of 1989 but are
now in the process of moving to the Stoughton area within the town of Rutland. We are
requesting that the property we intend to purchase and close on July 23, 1997 be rezoned
from its current AG-1 to an RH-2. It is our understanding that under the current AG-1
zoning for this property, no horses are allowed. The house and property is located at 323
Danks Rd, in the town of Rutland and the reason for this request is to allow us to bring
our Thoroughbred horse onto our property. This would allow us to fully appreciate the
value of our newly aquired home, property and horse. It is our intentions to errect a small
building on the property in which to board the horse with a small pasture and riding area
within the property lines. Several acres of the property are currently being used by the
neighboring farmer for part of his corn field and he has the right to harvest his corn this
fall. Therefore, we will not be bringing the horse to the property nor errecting a building
until sometime after the harvest of the farmers corn. Also, we have no intentions of
boarding any other horse other than our own and therefore there should be no concern for
any misuse of the property. This property is well out in the country, is bordered by farm
fields to the north and south and DNR land to the west and therefore should not offend
any neighbor.
Sincerely,
'Gary& Yolanda Stuettgen
