Recently, both <br /> the Army Corps of Engineers and the Department of Natural Resources <br /> (DNR) , completed their reviews of Mr. Slotten's wetlands related <br /> after-action permit requests. Both agencies have issued permits <br /> for Mr . Slotten ' s new runway . Copies of those permits are <br /> enclosed. Both permits are conditional and the conditions are <br /> acceptable to Mr. Slotten. <br /> The Corps' permit is dependent upon a satisfactory mitigation plan. <br /> Mr. Slotten has informed the Corps that he intends to mitigate by <br /> purchasing credits from the Wisconsin Waterfowl Association ' s <br /> mitigation bank. According to James Knowles, the Corps ' area <br /> representative, this plan is acceptable and the mitigation bank has <br /> already been contacted and is processing Mr. Slotten's request. We <br /> therefore request that Dane County Zoning Committee place these <br /> petitions back on its schedule, for both a working committee <br /> meeting and a county board hearing in March of 1998 . <br /> David Lorenz from your office completed a navigability inspection <br /> of Badger Mill Creek on Mr. Slotten ' s property in September of <br /> 1997. To date, we have not received word of the results of that <br /> inspection.
