As you know the committee decided to postpone the petition until the Town of Verona has approved these petitions. We presume that the committee's decision means that these petitions will not be discussed at your September 2 working committee meeting, nor will they be presented to the County Board on September 18, 1997. However, if that is not the case, please let us know. We would like to be present at all meetings when these petitions are discussed. We understand these meetings to not offer the opportunity for further public comment, but questions may arise that we could answer . We hope this will help expedite the permitting process. Please find two letters enclosed, one from Thomas Tomas of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation and the other, from Jim Kazmierczak. They reiterate the need for the Verona Airport stated at the public hearing. We would like them to be included in the file for the committee's and board's future reviews. Additionally , thank you for scheduling the navigability determination. We understand that David Lorenz from your office will do the field inspection for this determination within the next seven days.
