CITY OF VERONA <br /> MINUTES <br /> COMMON COUNCIL <br /> September 22, 1997 <br /> Verona City Hall <br /> 1 . The meeting was called to order by Mayor John Volker at 7 : 02 <br /> p.m. <br /> 2 . Roll call : Present : Rocco Ceniti, Tom Ferch, Pam Grundman, <br /> Jon Hochkammer, Bob Menamin, Ed Ringgenberg, Brad Stiner, Ken <br /> Zingg. Also present : Larry Saeger, City Administrator; Bob <br /> Gundlach, City Engineer; Police Lieutenant Lynn Marquardt; <br /> Ron Rieder, Director of Public Works, Sewer & Water; Mary <br /> Griffith, Library Director. <br /> 3 . MOVED by Ringgenberg, seconded by Hochkammer to approve the Appr. <br /> minutes of the September 8, 1997 meeting of the Common Council minutes <br /> with a correction to Item #13, by deleting the last 2 lines of <br /> the motion. The corrected motion to read: MOVED by Ceniti, <br /> seconded by Ringgenberg to table . Motion carried. <br /> 4 . MOVED by Ferch, seconded by Hochkammer to amend tonight' s Amend <br /> agenda and include Item #13 from the September 8, minutes agenda <br /> under Old Business , Item #9 . This is a Conditional Use Permit <br /> #1451 and Dane County Zoning Petition #7012 for Rodney <br /> Slotten. <br /> 5 . MOVED by Grundman, seconded by Ringgenberg to accept the Indust- <br /> resignation of Matt Hintze and Paul Schmidt from the rial Par <br /> Industrial Park Board. Motion carried. resignat <br /> 6 . MOVED by Hochkammer, seconded by Stiner to approve the Indust- <br /> appointment of Jim Hanson, 717 Tamarack, and David Elder, 570 rial Par <br /> East View Road to the Industrial Park Board. Motion carried. appts . <br /> NOTE : Mr. Hanson' s term will expire April 30, 2000 . Mr. <br /> Elder' s term will expire April 30, 1999 . <br /> 7 . MOVED by Ceniti, seconded by Ferch to confirm the appointment Zone Bd. <br /> of Edgar Lingard as Chairman of the Zoning Board of Appeals . Chairman <br /> Motion carried. appt. <br /> 8 . The City Engineer reported on the construction throughout the <br /> city: <br /> A. South Main Street : The utility poles will be down by <br /> Thursday, curb and gutter poured by next Wednesday. <br /> After it cures several days , they will pour the sidewalk <br /> and then the county will be able to come in pave . Should <br /> be complete in 3 to 4 weeks . <br />
