This proposed trucking business is in an agricultural preservation area of the Town of <br /> Windsor. A key town/county objective is: "Prohibit new commercial and industrial development, <br /> except that which is directly dependent upon productive agriculture, from locating outside of urban <br /> service areas." <br /> The application does not indicate the type of trucking. If the trucking is for non-agricultural goods or <br /> products, there clearly is a conflict. <br /> If the trucking is agriculture related, the site should be conditionally rezoned to that specific use. The <br /> C-2 commercial district permits many other heavy commercial and industrial uses which would be <br /> incompatible at this location. <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH (septic, etc.) <br /> The type of materials being handled by the trucking business should be evaluated to determine the <br /> potential for contamination of groundwater or other damage to the environment from hazardous or <br /> deleterious substances. <br /> DANE COUNTY HIGHWAY <br /> None. <br /> OTHER <br /> None. <br />
