Mr. Lyman Anderson, Chairman <br /> Zoning and Natural Resources Committee <br /> Room 118 <br /> 210 Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard <br /> Madison, WI 53709 <br /> Mr. Anderson and Committee: <br /> Please accept this letter, submitted by Donald and Verna Wallace, 10901 West Hudson Road, <br /> Mazomanie, as formal application for a conditional use permit for the property described in <br /> the attached legal description. <br /> The proposed use of the property is that of a Bed and Breakfast Home, providing lodging on <br /> a nightly basis to travelers and guests. The guests would be served breakfast in the home. <br /> Our wish is to obtain a conditional use permit at the earliest feasible date, so that we can <br /> proceed with performing any necessary modifications to our home to comply with state <br /> licensing, obtain all inspections and licenses, and be open for business by early summer of <br /> 1996. <br /> Our home is close to local businesses, one mile from the village of Mazomanie, yet we're on <br /> secluded property. We have two bedrooms and bathrooms which are essentially unused at • <br /> this time, which gave us the idea of using our home as a bed and breakfast home. We're <br /> ideal for the vacationer who wants to get away from it all, but yet we're also close to many <br /> area attractions for the tourist who is simply looking for a place to sleep and eat breakfast, <br /> using us as a base while visiting these nearby attractions. <br /> Having stayed in many Bed and Breakfasts ourselves, we have a good idea of what makes a <br /> pleasant place to stay, and we feel we meet these standards, not only with our home, but also <br /> as host and hostess to our guests. <br /> Thank you for reviewing our request. <br /> aw <br /> Verna J.
