This proposed expansion of existing use for this boarding stable in the <br /> agricultural area raises several policy issues.The application is to allow boarding of additional horses, <br /> horse shows and incidental sales of pop and candy. <br /> - For any boarding expansion,there needs to be a site plan and a specific limit on the number of <br /> horses.In fairness to other operators,there needs to be some adherence to the 1-animal unit <br /> per acre standard which most must follow.Additional horses could be allowed for the show <br /> events. <br /> - If horse shows are to be allowed,there needs to be a site plan for the arena,parking for <br /> participants,parking for spectators and a traffic movement plan.There needs to be specific <br /> limits on the numbers and size of such events,since the site is approximately one mile east of <br /> Oregon and one mile northwest of the stock car track. <br /> - The sale of pop and candy should be limited to the times or days of the show events,since the <br /> purpose of a boarding stable is not retail sales. <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH(septic, etc.) <br /> None. <br /> DANE COUNTY HIGHWAY <br /> None. <br /> OTHER <br /> None <br />
