This proposed mineral extraction site is in an agricultural preservation area of the Town of <br /> Burke. <br /> There is an existing mineral extraction site to the west and northwest across Reiner Road. There is a <br /> farmhouse and buildings on-site. There are single family homes on the lots to the north. There is a <br /> small rural subdivision to the north,just off the map. The cross-hatch appearing area to the northeast is <br /> actually a series of long, narrow residential lots which front on Thorson Road. <br /> To provide a review consistent with other such applications, this application should include a written <br /> description of the proposed operation including a time schedule of development and termination, a site <br /> plan and a topographic reclamation plan as required by 10.191(2) of the Dane County Code of <br /> Ordinances. <br /> In addition to these basic elements, the description should also address: <br /> Reclamation of farmland use. <br /> Phasing to minimize the amount of land open for extraction at any one time. <br /> Protection of the existing houses in the area. <br /> Magnitude and frequency of blasting. <br /> - Hours of operation. <br /> Haul routes for trucks and equipment. <br /> Steps to protect the quality of area groundwater. <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH (septic, etc.) <br /> None. <br /> DANE COUNTY HIGHWAY <br /> None. <br /> OTHER <br /> None. <br />
