This proposed clay extraction site Is In an agricultural <br /> preservation area of the Town of Verona. It Is immediately north of the <br /> Dane County Landfill and, therefore, will have the shortest possible <br /> haul route. <br /> The nearest residences are two to the west and two others on the small <br /> parcels along Nesbitt Road. <br /> The site Itself is currently a cornfield with agricultural land to the <br /> west , north and east . <br /> The site Is also within the Ice Age Trail Junction Resource Area of the <br /> recently adopted Greenspace Plan. <br /> If the topsoil is stripped, clay removed and topsoil Is replaced <br /> according to the reclamation plan, there should be little conflict with <br /> plans. <br /> E.H.D. - <br /> Co.
