• <br /> TO: THE DANE COUNTY ZONING AND NATURAL RESOURCE COMMITTEE <br /> FROM: MARK SKUDLAREK ON BEHALF OF RICHARD SCOTT <br /> RE: ZONING PETITION 4`642 <br /> I would like to submit a response to the issues and concerns that were <br /> . brought up by the county staff in regards to the proposed zoning change. <br /> A. There is no possibility of strip development. <br /> B. My business of seven years, Cambridge Pottery, is located on rented <br /> property three miles from my residence. I work alone at my shop but <br /> recently have taken on an apprentice. For reasons of convenience and the <br /> future security of my business, I would like to move my operation home. <br /> The future pottery would be located on the one acre parcel petitioned for a <br /> zoning change (see attachment). <br /> - access would be by the present town road, Tranquil Lane, which <br /> abutts the parcel. <br /> - the parcel is visually compatible as shown on the map. It is at the <br /> dead end of a 1 /3 mile road and is surrounded by wooded growth. <br /> - use will be limited to the following C- 1 permitted uses as stated in <br /> section 10. 13 <br /> a. Retail and service uses including but not limited to grocery <br /> stores, drugstores, hardware stores, appliance and furniture stores, <br /> barber shops and beauty shops without limitation as to size. <br /> e. Banks, offices, office buildings and condominium office buildings <br /> devoting not more than two (2) floors to office space. <br /> i. Distribution centers and wholesale business. <br /> j. Woodworking shops, machine shops, manufacturing and assembly <br /> plants. <br /> The use of this C-1 zoning request will be limited to the <br /> production and sale of hand made pottery and associated <br /> products. <br /> / have also spoken with my immediate neighbors informing them <br /> of my intentions and they have expressed their approval (see <br /> attachment). <br />
