REQUEST FOR ZONING CHANGE AND CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br /> The parcel no. of the lot on which I am requesting the zoning <br /> change and conditional use permit is 14-0610-202-9020-1. It is <br /> approximately 16 acres or 10% of my farm. I am requesting A-2 <br /> zoning with conditional use as a horse stable facility. <br /> The proposed use for this portion of my property is a horse <br /> boarding, riding, competition and any other activities that pertain <br /> to the use, ownership, care, competition, rodeos, training and <br /> showing of horses and the education and enjoyment of those persons <br /> involved by way of clinics and events to be held on the premises. <br /> Horses, consessions, supplies, accessories and other related items <br /> will be sold on the premises. It is my intention to create a full <br /> service equine facility for up to 125 resident horses that will be <br /> available to the general public. <br /> There is an approved farm entrance approximately 167 feet to the <br /> east of my private driveway. I would like to relocate this farm <br /> entrance, about 30 feet further to the east and use it as the <br /> entrance to my facility. <br /> It is necessary for me to create a secondary full time residence <br /> for my farm manager. It is my intention to locate a full size <br /> mobile home on the back side of my buildings that will overlook the <br /> entire horse facility. It is shown on my site plan as the long <br /> thin building to the right of my drive and furthest back toward the <br /> horse buildings. The mobile home will be installed on blocks and <br /> skirted with full water and septic service. <br /> It is my intention to provide trails on my entire farm while <br /> preserving the rural atmosphere I have grown to love. I have lived <br /> within two miles of this farm since 1972 and admired it as I passed <br /> on my way to work each and every day. It had been a dream of mine <br /> to someday own this property. My dream has come true. <br /> I intend to grow crops on much of the acreage. Perimeter riding <br /> around the fields and trails through the woods will provide a <br /> substantial trail system. My vision is cropland and horses grazing <br /> with riders enjoying a facility that will offer services unique to <br /> the boarding industry and an arena that will be second to none. I <br /> believe my neighbors and I will have something to be very proud to <br /> have in our area. <br /> I have attempted to design my facility in a location that will be <br /> to the back of all other buildings on my farm and away from the <br /> highway. I am in the process of purchasing high quality steel <br /> buildings for the stalls and arena. They will have a modern clean <br /> look that will be pleasing. This has always been a clean well kept <br /> farm. I intend to keep it that way. <br /> I intend to begin construction in July, 1996. I need to be open in <br /> October, 1996. Please help by addressing my application as <br /> expeditiously as possible. Timing is very important. Thank you. <br />
