RECEiVED <br /> April 6, 1996 . <br /> Dane County Zoning Committee <br /> C/O Dane County Zoning Department INIVILOPMENT <br /> Room 116, City County Building PROPERiYRECOROS <br /> Madison, WI 53709 <br /> RE: ZONING PETITION 6553 - 7156 Brassco Lane <br /> We are unable to attend the scheduled hearing on April 9, <br /> 1996 regarding the above petition but would like to share are <br /> opinion regarding such for the record of this hearing and any <br /> future hearing regarding this matter. <br /> We would oppose any rezoning that would allow the current <br /> occupant of this address or any future occupant to increase <br /> the level of commercial enterprise beyond that which is <br /> currently being conducted from the address in question. <br /> The address and neighborhood involved in this petition is <br /> currently residential, was such when we chose to move here <br /> and should remain so for the foreseeable future. <br /> It is our understanding that if this request was granted, it <br /> would allow for considerable increase in the amount of <br /> commercial enterprise being conducted at the address in <br /> question. This could include an increase in the current <br /> enterprise or the expansion by future occupants to such <br /> commercial endeavors as vehicle repair, vehicle storage or <br /> vehicle sales . <br /> We appreciate that the current occupants may have no <br /> intention for the expansion of the current enterprise or a <br /> change in enterprise but they can not represent future <br /> occupants who may have such intentions . At such a point the <br /> neighboring residents could find themselves either straddled <br /> with a commercial enterprise they wish not to have in their <br /> neighborhood or costly litigation to deny such, with no <br /> guarantee that such could be prevented. <br /> In view of the above, and with no malice towards the current <br /> residents or their current enterprise, let us reiterate that <br /> we oppose any rezoning that would allow for an increase in <br /> the current or future commercial exposure of the address <br /> under consideration or in all of the Brassington Plot . <br /> Thank you for the opportunity of expressing our opinion and <br /> we hope you will give it your consideration. <br /> Sincerely, c, <br /> Wil aim Richardson J T.
