"'eller" property on Hook Lake. In response to the <br /> opinions expressec. a. the May 14, 1996 Dunn Town meeting, the Department of <br /> Natural Resources (Di'') will close the recently purchased "Keller" property to <br /> public access. Nc ole other than DNR employees on official business will be <br /> allowed entry to the parcel. <br /> It has not been MR policy to close entry to a parcel where no clear <br /> biological need has peen demonstrated. During the next few years, the <br /> Department will evaluate the need for the closure. We will measure the <br /> pressure on the lake (bog) from other accesses on private land and public <br /> land, and evaluate d.mage (both seasonally and annually) to the bog from <br /> current use. <br /> We are concerned abo C motorized water craft on Hook and Grass lakes. I am <br /> sending Dunn Town of icials a copy of an example town ordinance prohibiting <br /> motorized craft. Th Town of Dunn should pass a similar ordinance to protect <br /> both Hook and Grass akes.
