r •
September 29, 1996
Dane County Zoning Committee
210 Martin Luther King Blvd.
Madison, WI 53703
Dear Sirs:
We appreciate the zoning committee coming out to the site on
mate Farm Road on Saturday, September 28, 1996.
'Regarding the split requested, I believe that the simplest method
xto bring resolution to this situation is as follows: Set up two
a"parcejs, one in the R-1 district and the other in the R-1A
district. In this configuration and with the control that both
the town board and the county have over zoning, there should be
no possibility for any more splits on this property as this will
bring this nonconforming parcel, as created prior to the plan, in
conformance with the land use plan language. If there is still
concern about the possibility of further splits, a deed restrict
was offered by the petitioner almost two months ago, but I do not
believe that one is necessary.
Regarding the amendment suggested to the town land use plan
offered by committee members and committee chair, our advisors
are indicating that it will not facilitate anything in this
petition, and as I indicated Saturday, there is very little
possibility that this amendment has any chance of being approved
by the county even if the town board approves it immediately
because the county board is waiting for adoption of DATCP
recommendations before any land use amendments will be worked.
Again, thank you for your consideration in this matter.
Sincer=ly,
400f ;4_,
Stanley ien
Chairm. , Township of Christiana
