Date: Citation No. Reference No. Reporting Deputy Case No.
8-11-96 NORM WILLS 96014271
DANE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
Supplement Report
NEIGHBOR PROBLEMS (LARSON)
SYNOPSIS OF CALL:
The following call was dispatched to this Deputy via MDT rather than normal dispatch calls. This was
because the compl felt sure that his neighbor had scanners and would immediately discontinue whatever
activity that was causing the disturbance.
Upon arrival and contact with Larson, the compl, I realized I had been to this residence once before ref
virtually the same type of complaint and after listening to the complaints from Mr Larson and his wife, it
soon became very apparent to me that there was far more than a barking dog complaint here, that this was
a very serious neighbor problem that was ongoing and involved.
COMPLAINANT:
Kurt P. Larson
M/W, dob 9-22-45
4259 CTH TT, Sun Prairie,WI 53960
837-0605
•
SUSPECT:
Steven Miller
d/b/a Prairie Pet Center
4255 CTH TT, Sun Prairie,WI
837-8020
NOTIFICATION OF&ARRIVAL AT SCENE:
At approx 10:15AM date, I was on duty working the northeast patrol section, Nora 2, for the DCSO
operating marked patrol unit and in full military style uniform. I was advised by the dispatch that they had
a call coming thru on my MDT; because the compl felt that the suspect would monitor a call given in the
open and would take action to eliminate whatever the problem was, prior to the arrival of the officer. In
addition, it should be noted that dispatch had a serious concern as to the address of the suspect which was
given as 4255 CTH TT, Town of Sun Prairie, County of Dane, indicating that the CAD showed that was
not a valid address. They requested I do in fact check it and confirm whether it was and they would have
the CAD reflect that it was a valid address.
Upon my arrival, I noted that the Prairie Pet Center did have a rural fire identification number as 4255
CTH TT, and advised dispatch of this information. In addition, it should be noted that as I sat across the
highway at CTH TT, directly adjacent to the driveway entry to the Prairie Pet Center, I listened very
carefully as the complaint that had come across on the MDT was that there were many dogs barking and
numerous shots being fired. Specifically, the MDT indicates that this had been ongoing for the last three
!`Jl
-1 -
