In the fall of 1979 a chapel was added increasing the school enrollment to sixteen students . Our chapel had forty parishioners . In 1992 we had about eighty- five parishioners and twenty students . Since we are a Catholic parish interested in the more traditional Roman Catholic religion, we have not enjoyed (nor do we anticipate) any rapid growth. On Sundays we now have ninety parishioners attending Mass . This is only an increase of fifty parishioners since 1979 . We purchased the property on Baltes Road expecting it to more than accommodate our growth for the next 20 years . Our immediate plans are to set up a chapel in the 40 ft— by 60 ft . gymnasium with a seating capacity of 150 persons . Presently we offer only one Mass . If we should out grow our seating capacity, we would offer two Sasses to accommodate our growth. In the fall of 1998 we plan to open our school with an anticipated enrollment of twenty-three ( 23) students and five (5) staff members (The Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District had 137 students and 10 staff members) . For the past twenty years our school enrollment has averaged twenty (20) students; therefore, we foresee no major increase in our school enrollment for the next five or even ten years . The existing building should easily accommodate any major increase in the enrollment ,however. According to the Society' s District Superior Father Scott, we will not be sent a resident priest since they usually live only in priories. Therefore , we will not establish a residence. **We do not plan to make-_any changes in the, parking ' lot. We believe the existing lot is large enough to park about fifty cars and is more than large enough to provide parking for our twenty families . However, according to Edith Goth of the Department of Transportation District 31 (phone 246-3825) there are plans to relocate our driveway further west on Baltes Road away from US Hwy 12 when they expand US Hwy 12 . Fund raisers such as rummage, craft, and bake sales are planned. During the week, we expect to conduct afternoon or even- ing prayer or instruction programs on a weekly basis . Expected also are social functions such as: weddings and funerals . **If we should have to expand the parking lot we would use part of the ball diamond which is adjacent to the parking lot .
