The map labels <br /> have been changed to show unambiguously which type of underlying area applies in the case <br /> of each RP, ME or RC area labelled on the plan amendment map. Almost all the RP and <br /> ME overlays apply to an underlying area which remains in agricultural preservation or <br /> transition. <br /> New copies of the proposed plan amendment map have been provided at the proper scale <br /> required by the department. Aerial photos were provided to the department in lieu of a <br /> precise map of existing land use. <br /> The plan amendment for the Town of Oregon is consistent with the goals, objectives and <br /> policies of the agricultural preservation plan for Dane County. <br /> LWCB Action <br /> Staff recommends certification of the revised plan amendment dated November 26, 1996, <br /> submitted to the department on November 27, 1996, after adoption by the Dane County <br /> Board, for a period of 10 years, beginning in 1996 and ending December 31, 2005, <br /> contingent upon the department's receipt by December 31, 1996, of the following items: <br /> (1) A Dane County Board resolution adopting the revised plan amendment to the Dane <br /> County agricultural preservation plan for the Town of Oregon by December 31, 1996, along <br /> with a copy of the fmal plan amendment adopted, incorporating, in addition to the changes <br /> highlighted in the November 26, 1996, plan amendment already submitted, the following <br /> changes: <br /> (a) Corrections to certain inaccuracies in the text label of overlay districts on page <br /> 34; and <br /> (b) Corrections to inaccuracies in the Appendix in the plan amendment which <br /> incorporates a section-by-section explanation of the findings required under <br /> s. 91.55 (2), Wis. Stats., for all agricultural lands removed from agricultural <br /> preservation designation in the 1981 county agricultural preservation plan. <br /> (2) A written statement from the county corporation counsel indicating they have reviewed <br /> the final plan amendment being submitted for LWCB certification and found it to be in <br /> compliance with applicable municipal law.
