Dane County Zoning & Natural Resources Committee <br /> City County Board Office, Room 118 <br /> 210 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. <br /> Madison, WI. 53709 <br /> January 6, 1997 <br /> REGARDING: "SAID" PROPOSED REZONING PETITION: Dane County <br /> Application for Change in Zoning Hearing Date: 12/17/96 Item <br /> #: 17 <br /> (Decision postponed to the January 7 , 1997 5: 30 PM <br /> hearing/meeting) <br /> Zoning Petition # 6793 <br /> Town/Section: Cottage Grove 31 <br /> Applicant: Edna & Carmen Brandt <br /> Location: East of 3111 "Sigglekow" (Siggelkow) Road <br /> Area: 1. 55 acres Delayed Effective Date: None <br /> CHANGE: From the A-1 EX Exclusive Agricultural to <br /> Proposed Use: the LC-1 Limited COMMERCIAL <br /> (New landscape CONTRACTOR BUSINESS) <br /> Dear Respective Board Member, <br /> On Dec. 17, 1996 my husband and I opposed the zoning <br /> change on the "Said" petition on the basis, we did not want <br /> commercial zoning on the properties directly across <br /> County Truck Highway AB from our residential home of 18 years. <br /> Since the Dec. 17 , 1996 hearing, we contacted, by telephone <br /> and letter, Mr. David Wiganowsky, who is the Dane County <br /> Supervisor for the Townships of Blooming Grove and Cottage <br /> Grove. We also sent a letter Dec. 27, 1997 to Mr. Van <br /> Deurzen, Chair of The Dane County Zoning & Natural Resources <br /> Committee. I furnished copies of these letters to all Dane <br /> County Board members at their mailboxes at the City/County <br /> Building. At the time of those letters, the issue was more <br /> directed to concerns of "Screening Ordinances" . Since my <br /> letters of Dec. 27 , 1996, we have obtained additional <br /> information regarding the "Said" petition for rezoning. At <br /> this time, I request you consider the information set forth <br /> and stated in the attached PETITION OPPOSING THE "SAID" <br /> PROPOSED REZONING. We believe the outcome of this single <br /> "Said" rezoning petition, may have such grave consequences <br /> that we want to be sure, all information is considered before <br /> your committee makes a decision. We plan to attend The Dane <br /> County Zoning & Natural Resources Committee, Jan. 7 , 1997 5 : 30 <br /> work meeting and request to be allowed to speak at that <br /> meeting. <br /> ;gr.-14i ie J.
