1 <br /> "SAID" PROPOSED REZONING PETITION: <br /> IP <br /> r' 1( <br /> Dane County Application for Change in Zoning <br /> Hearing Date: 12/17/96 Item #: 17 <br /> (Decision postponed to the January 7 , 1997 5: 30 PM <br /> work/meeting) <br /> Zoning Petition # 6793 <br /> Town/Section: Cottage Grove 31 <br /> Applicant: Edna & Carmen Brandt <br /> Location: East of 3111 "Sigglekow" (Siggelkow) Road <br /> Area: 1. 55 acres Delayed Effective Date: None <br /> CHANGE: From the A-1 EX Exclusive Agricultural to <br /> Proposed Use: to LC-1 Limited COMMERCIAL <br /> (New landscape CONTRACTOR BUSINESS) <br /> WE THE UNDERSIGNED OPPOSE The above said proposed <br /> rezoning based on one or more of the following <br /> reasons: <br /> 1. - We are directly affected by this proposed zoning <br /> change. <br /> 2 . - We believe we were not given fair notification <br /> of this proposed petition for rezoning. <br /> 3 . - We believe Dane County Zoning & Natural <br /> Resources Committee was given incomplete <br /> information on the said petition, by not <br /> informing the committee of the large areas of <br /> residential homes that would be affected by this <br /> rezoning. <br /> 4 . - We believe too much prime agricultural property <br /> in Dane County has already been lost to <br /> commercial expansion. <br /> 5. - We oppose further expansion of_ "Commercial" to <br /> this area of Dane County. <br /> 6. - We believe there may be an adverse affect <br /> on the natural beauty & "green" of this area of <br /> Dane County. <br /> 7 . - We believe there may be an adverse impact on our <br /> immediate roads & highways making them even more <br /> unsafe for our family use. <br /> (Mainly crossing at County Trunk Highway AB with <br /> State Highway 12 & 18 , Country Trunk Highway AB <br /> with Siggelkow Road and Siggelkow Road to State <br /> Highway 51. ) <br /> 8 . - We believe screening ordinances regulating the <br /> proposed zone classification would not protect <br /> all the surrounding properties of the area. <br /> WE ASK THE DANE COUNTY ZONING & NATURAL RESOURCES COMMITTEE <br /> AND THE DANE COUNTRY BOARD TO DENY THE SAID PROPOSED ZONING <br /> CHANGE UNTIL: <br /> 1. The findings of The State of Wisconsin <br /> Farmland Preservation Law, <br /> Section 91.77 (a) , (b) and (c) can <br /> be thoroughly addressed and made public <br /> to all parties affected by the said <br /> petition. <br />
