TO: Dane County Zoning <br /> FROM: Jackie Vande Hey <br /> RE: Zoning Change and C.U.P. on Lot 1 C.S.M. 7780 <br /> DATE: October 1, 1996 <br /> I am requesting a rezone change from RH-1 to an A-2( l with a conditional use permit for horse <br /> boarding. <br /> Because I am currently zoned RH-1 on 3.8 Acres. I also lease 15 or so Acres of A-1 Exclusive <br /> land from Dennis Chadwick, which is connected to my pasture. This allows me to properly care <br /> for additional horses. However, when I cross the line from the leased land to my barn on my 3.8 <br /> acres , I am in violation of the one (1) animal unit per acre. <br /> My barn is sufficient to stall 8-10 horses, and the pasture that I lease is large enough to hold up to <br /> 20 horses. I have horse facilities which include an indoor arena, an outdoor arena, and adequate <br /> parking. There are also wash racks, a grooming area and a lounge. <br /> I do not want retail; I only wish to board a reasonable number of horses and to give sleigh and <br /> carriage rides. In the future, I plan to buy or lease more land connected to my farm. <br /> The Township is aware of my plans, and approved a Conditional Use Permit on my RH-1 land at <br /> the August meeting. Unfortunately, when I went to the County, I discovered that Conditional <br /> Use Permits are not allowed on RH-1 land.
