We hope that the lD ne County Zoning Commission has more consideration for the <br /> historic nature of this area than did the majority of the Verona Town Board members. <br /> The relative fragility of the area along with the difficulty that many of the locals had with <br /> septic systems and in the drilling of wells seems contrary to further development. In <br /> addition, the rezoning would be inconsistent with the Land Use Plan which is <br /> apparently not considered to be an important document to be referred to in the event of <br /> rezoning requests. <br /> It may also be of interest to note that the previous owners of the parcel-- Mr and Mrs <br /> Carl Felton, have always wanted the land to become a Dane County Park someday, <br /> but unfortunately, their wishes were never put in writing. <br /> Please consider our concerns and convey this information to the zoning committee <br /> members. <br /> Sincerely, <br /> Lawrence, L. and Jacqueline A.
