A <br /> STATEMENT IN OPPOSITION TO <br /> TOWN OF PLEASANT SPRINGS ZONING PETITION#6787 <br /> I am a property owner on Lake Kegonsa who would be adversely affected <br /> by changes in zoning at 3097 Sunnyside Street, Stoughton, WI as applied for in Zoning <br /> Petition #6787. <br /> A multi-family residential condominium complex or multi-family units <br /> of any size is in direct conflict with the Town of Pleasant Springs Land Use Plan. <br /> Development of Lake Kegonsa should be limited to a scale and density <br /> which will not lead to further deterioration of lake water quality. This rezoning proposal <br /> encourages urban growth and will result in the need for and cost of additional public <br /> services, and the deteriorating effect of urban runoff on lake water quality. <br /> Increased property taxes and assessments, road,and lake traffic, damage to <br /> adjacent wetlands, precedent for future rezoning,fish and wildlife habitats, population <br /> density, floodplain and shoreland issues are just some of the issues raised by this <br /> rezoning petition. <br /> For the above reasons,zoning petition #6787 should be denied in its <br /> entirety. <br /> This letter is also a formal request to the Town of Pleasant Springs <br /> Plan Commission to immediately revise the Town's Land Use Plan to further and <br /> specifically deny condos on Lake Kegonsa to avoid further discussion of this issue. <br /> Comments: <br /> Date Signature <br /> Name <br /> Address <br /> FOLD AND MAIL THIS LETTER TODAY!!!
