I left some material for you on your chair that documents the lighting change and verifies FAA approval of
the change. As per my note, the change looks pretty innocuous, and it basically appears to entail the addition of a
flashing blue strobe during the day and twilight hours. There is already an existing constant red beacon at night that
will remain. I've checked the coordinates to verify that the FAA approval is for a facility at the same coordinates as the
referenced CUP number(No. 1396). As per the conditions on the CUP, your review and OK is needed before any
change can occur to determine what permits are required, if any.
Mr. Younan has requested and asked when he could receive something in writing/email from you stating for certain
whether they need a CUP or can get by with a zoning permit. Apparently, Mr. Younan tried contacting or spoke
initially to Andy O'Brion a few months ago, and the issue was passed to someone else in Zoning in Andy's absence
and has been sitting idle ever since. I was approached with the issue for the first time when Mr. Younan called me on
January 24th. Is there anything that I can do to help? Take care.
Todd
1
