However, Cingular feels it is in the best interest of pi blic safety to implement a 'n xlium <br /> intensity flashing white light to improve the safety for air navigatic n during twilight and daytirlE hours. <br /> This new system will also allow Cingular to monitor the tower lights 24X7 remotely and will iar able us to <br /> read to outages immediately_While the orange and white paint meets FAA/FCC regulation;, we have <br /> witnessed that the paint fades quickly and requires a great deal crf manual intervention to ens,re the <br /> paint does not fade past specifications. Cingular believes that by deploying the"Dual Lighting System", <br /> we are taking the necessary steps to do our part in improving public safety. <br /> The"Dual Lighting System"that we are installing will emit a medium intensity flashing light clu wig <br /> twilight and daytime hours only.At night,the red light that currently exists on the tower will it ur ninate. <br /> Cingular believes that this system will be negligible from ground lave1 but will definitely improv a air <br /> navigation safety_ Should you have any questions regarding the FAA/FCC compliance regula ions that <br /> are enforced on companies who own towers, please refer to FAt,-AC 7017460-IK Advisory Circular. <br /> Cingular is asking for your support and approval in this initiative.We thank you for your comic eration in <br /> this matter.
