The public hearing was called to order by Chairman Skaar at 7:37 P. M. <br /> Board members present: Rick Griffin, Silvin Kurt,Kris Hampton, Eugene Skaar. <br /> Absent: Kevin Shelley until 7:50. <br /> II. Dale and Dwight Huston presented their plans to the board. <br /> III. There was some lengthy discussion regarding the composition of the materials in the <br /> area,engineering studies,hours of operation,the length of time it would take to <br /> complete(approximately 5 years),etc. <br /> IV. There was no one in attendance to oppose the plan. MOTION by Hampton/Kurt to <br /> approve the non-metallic mining permit with the following conditions: <br /> 1. Hours of operation will be 6:00 A. M. to 5:00 P. M. Monday through Friday and 8:00 <br /> A. M. to 1:00 P. M. on Saturdays; <br /> 2. That the second road will be removed; <br /> 3. That the only material to be hauled out will be sand and gravel,no topsoil or fill will <br /> leave the site; <br /> 4. And that any damage done to Nora Road will be repaired as the proposal indicates. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 5 to 0. <br /> The Huston's inquired that in the future and for special circumstances if it was all right <br /> with the surrounding neighbors,would the board consider modifying the hours of <br /> operation. Board members all agreed this would be possible. <br /> V. MOTION by Hampton/Kurt to adjourn the public hearing. MOTION CARRIED 5 to <br /> 0.
