(Town of Westport) <br /> Tax Parcel x'33-080910385707 <br /> Dear Sir or Madam: <br /> Enclosed please find a survey prepared by Arrow Land Surveying, a petition for <br /> rezoning, and a check in the amount of 5100.00 payable to Dane County Land <br /> Regulations. <br /> The subject property (formerly Art's Orchard)is currently zoned exclusively for <br /> agricultural use. However, the property does include a retail shop and parking lot which <br /> has been used for the sale of apples and related products ie: pies, cider, jams etc. The <br /> former owners have operated the business as such for mangy years. <br /> The petition for rezoning is necessary to expand retail operations in the currently <br /> existing shop and outbuildings. Specifically, expansion will include a greenhouse for the <br /> sale of seasonal flowers. Additionally, the currently existing retail space would be open for <br /> the sale of garden related accessories, including: fountains, birdhouses, ornaments, etc. <br /> The.pre-existing residential building on the premises will continue to be usecfor family <br /> members)who will be managing the day-to-day business operations. <br /> • As per the enclosed zoning description, rezoning is requested for only a smaller <br /> parcel of the entire property. The larger parcel "A" will remain an orchard but may need <br /> to be reclassified to A-2 because it is only 16.15 acres. The smaller parcel "B" is proposed <br /> for rezoning to C-i commercial. Arrangements are currently being made to start retail <br /> operations by April 15, 1997. <br /> The above proposal was informally presented before the Town Board of Westport <br /> on December 9, 1996.
