'.
This letter is in response to an application for a zoning change
by applicant, Gary Ziegler. The zoning petition # is 6879. It is
for an area of 3 acres to be changed from A-1 EX exclusive
agricultural to RH-1 rural homes . Hearing date is 3/25/97
and is item # 27, Town of Roxbury, section 29 , located on Dunlap
Hollow Rd. The proposed use is to create a residential parcel
for purchase by a child of the farm owner who works in Sauk City.
- My name is Kurt Dega. I am unable to attend this hearing as
I will be in California with my son who will be competing in the
U. S. Nationals of Amateur Snowboarding. As the closest most affected
party in this issue I wanted to bring to the attention of the hearing
members my concerns on this issue.
1 . No certified survey has been done delineating the proposed
3 acre site, so it is very difficult to ascertain the layout of the
3 acres .
2 . The house has not been sited so t can not tell how this
may affect what appears to be a large portion of agricultural land
within the 3 acres . - I also am unable to tell how it would visually
impact on my homesite. It appears the site could cut off the
connection between 2 fields and will leave a 2 plus acre field
without access in the event the property is later sold to an
unsympathetic third party. The soil type at the site is listed as
severe or very severe for septic absorption fields .
3 .The site is located along a dangerous blind curve where cars
travel at a high rate of speed . The problems of the curve are
documented by the Dane Co. Sheriffs Dept . The school bus is unable
to turn around in this area without jack knifing across the road
and completely blocking it until it can pull forward and straighten out
