This particulate monitoring program coincides with the six day schedule required by the
Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and every third day in between.
RESULTS
The results of the particulate sampling are summarized in the attached Table. The highest and
second-highest TSP concentrations measured during this reporting period were 149 and 86 ug/m3,
recorded on May 17 and May 14, respectively. These concentrations, as well as all others measured
during this reporting period, are well below the 24-hour Wisconsin Ambient Air Quality Standard
(WAAQS) of 150 1.tg/m3 for TSP.
The geometric mean TSP concentration for the period April 29, 1998 through July 16, 1998 is -11.2
;.tg'm3. For preliminary comparison, this concentration is less than the annual WAAQS of 75 µg/m3.
Meteorology is not measured as part of this program, as a result, historical monthly average;
temperature and pressure readings from the Madison, Wisconsin Airport were used in calculating
the TSP concentrations.
Offices Worldwide
