I'm the Deputy/Clerk Treasurer for the Town of Verona.
I help facilitate driveway and building permit applications for the Town and Town of Verona Building Inspector—Dick
Steele.
Pat Klinkner from Dane Co. Zoning informed me today that a zoning permit was issued about a week ago for a new
home at 1734 Black Cherry Court.
This was an oversight. The procedure requires a property owner to obtain a driveway construction permit from the
Verona Town Board prior to a zoning permit issuance.
Therefore, I am contacting Durend Custom Builders to restore confidence that a driveway application will be made.... by
providing information on Town of Verona's
procedure for a driveway permit.
The completed driveway application form attached must be filed with the Town along with a nonrefundable $250.00
application fee and$ 1000 escrow deposit.
The driveway escrow deposit is required to ensure that:
• The drive has been properly engineered.
• Any culverts and aprons are properly installed.
• Any construction damage to a Town Road has been repaired.
• And, that any other conditions of the driveway permit have been met.
Escrow monies will be returned at the end of the project if all requirements are completed, all inspections passed and no
additional costs are incurred by the Town during
the permitting process.
1
