To whom it may concern,
My wife and I respectfully request a rezoning of this 35 acre
parcel to allow us to build a modest residence on land that, while
beautiful, is not suitable for a viable agricultural operation.
The topography, difficulty of access and the small size of the
available parcel support this . The site includes a heavily wooded,
high ridge covering nearly half of the property, and access to the
area above the ridge is over a very steep incline. This parcel is
the final remaining portion of what was a larger farm.
We would like the property to be rezoned from A-1 Exclusive
Agricultural to RH-4 because it would be impractical for us to
generate a substantial portion of our income from agricultural
purposes, but we would like to see a significant portion of the
property remain in productive use. The topography and location of
the parcel make it suitable for this proposed use. The proposed
use takes into consideration the use of surrounding properties and
the changed conditions which have left this property a remnant.
Our intent would be to build a single family residence either
during the summer of 1995 or 1996 in the southeast corner of the
parcel near three other homes on an adj cent private road, and
reasonably close to four homes located on ` Road. The remainder
of the tillable land would likely be leased to someone local as it
has been for at least the last several years.
This rezoning would not be materially detrimental to the
public welfare, as several acres should remain cropland, or to the
property located in the vicinity. In fact, I would hope that such
use would benefit adjacent property values.
/(74
Vc*fr1/2
