Reppen , Chair ( 873-8252 ) , and <br /> William R. Drenkhahn, Secretary ( 873-1346 ) . <br /> SUBJECT: Exclusion of township property for a "soil decontamination facility. " <br /> WE, the undersigned residents of Dunkirk, or adjoining township (s) , County <br /> of Dane , State of Wisconsin, hereby stipulate that all township lands be exclud, <br /> and specifically that township site located directly off Hwy 51E , adjacent to <br /> the Hagen Farm (superfund site) , Town of Dunkirk, from decontamination or relate; <br /> facilities. WE ask. you prohibt the use of this site by GEO CLEAN, INC . , and/or <br /> any other related facility whose purpose is to "clean contaminated soil" from <br /> such unlimited sources as gas stations , foundries , railroads , truck terminals, <br /> petroleum tank farms and the like for the following reasons : <br /> 1 . An UNLIMITED AMOUNT of heavy traffic from UNLIMITED COUNTIES AND STATES wil <br /> cause extremely unsafe and hazardous traffic to an already overcrowded <br /> highway from Stoughton Trailers , transient trucking , and the asphalt plant. <br /> 2 . NOISE -- noise levels are unknown from such an operation , but any additiona <br /> noise from truck acceleration to deacceleration, and the proposed plant <br /> would increase noise and decibels to intolerable levels for residents . <br /> 3 .
