Paul 7. Pae&eea
1417 R a eol aka ° nail
04494.4 W. 53575
February 14, 1995
Dane County Zoning Committee
Dear Members of the Board:
We would like to express our opposition to the conditional use permit for
a campsite on Tipperary Road. It is in direct opposition to the well
conceived land use policy which was recently adopted by the Town of
Oregon. We do not support this type of development to a property that
clearly is home to a variety of ecosystems which could not survive under
the proposed conditions.
There are numerous problems with this proposal, many of which have a
direct impact on the environment including increased threat of fires,
filling of wetlands to build roads for emergency vehicles, encroachment
on wildlife habitat, chemical spraying which would lead to stream and
water pollution, and numerous sanitation problems.
The tax exempt status as requested would increase the tax burden for
tax-paying residents in the township.
{
The newly adopted Town of Oregon land use policy, which was so
conscientiously researched and written by the Township's leaders and
residents does not support this proposal. It is for these reasons that we
believe that this request should be denied.
Sincerely yours,
Yvonne Pola and Paul Pacheco
