•
•
TOWN OF CROSS PLAINS
8697 Mineral Point Road
Cross Plains, WI 53528
24 Xi
March 22, 1995
IECENO
Dane County Zoning & Natural
Resources Committee
Room 116, City-County Bldg.
Madison, WI 53709
Attention Lyman Anderson, Chair
Ladies and Gentlemen: Petition #6170
Petition Number 6170 does meet the criteria for the Town of Cross
Plains Land Use Plan for the following reasons :
This parcel has never been farmed, is not economically feasible
to farm, and is entirely wooded with the exception of where the
buildings now stand. Therefore, the 35 acre rule should not
apply in this case. This parcel existed when the blanket
rezoning took place and should not have been zoned as Exclusive
Agriculture. Therefore, it is appropriate at this time to rezone
this property to AG-2 for 25 . 7 acres and RH-3 for 12 . 3 acres .
We are familiar with this piece of property and it is well suited
to the proposed rezoning request and is one of the more clear cut
decisions that have been made by the Board. On March 20, the
Board reconsidered this matter and voted unanimously in favor of
this petition and felt that it is the best use for this parcel .
The property owner would be willing to accept a deed restriction
on both parcels such that if the township ever wanted to build a
town road over the 66 ft . access strip from Garfoot Road to abut
both proposed properties, neither property owner would object .
Sincerely,
%lam ib jk
Ann E.
