MEMO
Date: April 24, 2002
To: Karen Pribbenow
From: Kris Schutte
RE: Refund Request
Cc: Jim Gregorius
Karen,
Jim asked me to submit a request for a refund of$205.00 for a fee taken in error by a
Zoning Inspector for Rezone Petition 8382. This application duplicated Petition 5889,
which was `in abeyance', but which was still an active rezone file for the same parcels
and the same rezone district. The Inspector's error resulted from confusing zoning
district labeling in the zoning book.
Please send the refund to the applicant:
Mr. Donald Wiedenfeld
4412 White Aspen Road
Madison, WI 53704
I have attached a copy of Mr. Wiedenfeld's application, with the number 8382 crossed
out, a copy of his receipt for$205.00, with the same date as the application, and a copy of
the Zoning Division log sheet showing a line crossed out, indicating that an application
had been taken in, then deleted, the day before the number `8382' was actually used for a
different rezone application. Apparently the Inspector realized the duplication, but did
not process the refund when he crossed out the line.
Thanks for your help,
Kris
H:\plandev\zoning\Refund Wiedenfeld Pet. 8382.doc
