It is my opinion that the conditions of the CUP have been
met so far.The following delineates my position on specific conditions of the CUP and
those questioned by Silvin Kurt; Town of Cottage Grove Chairman.
Item# 6 of CUP #1132 conditions:
As per Dane County Public Works the property has been in hay production and mowed
by adjoining farmer. The intent appears to be to let soils establish themselves. Fail to see
adverse effect of small patch of cattails.
Item#7 of CUP# 1132 conditions:
The key here is may be allowed. Its logical if no more intense use of land is requested
then the necessity of soil.tests or committee approval appear Not Required.
Item#8 of CUP# 1132 conditions:
There have been no requests to change the use of the land therefore no notification has
• been sent to the town.
Item#9 of CUP#1132 conditions: •
The premise of all of this soil testing is that the use of the property is changing. It appears
•not(at least by the county), only its sale.
Balance of Silvin's letter is best addressed by Ken Koscik. •
Please find attached Chairman Kurt's letter and a copy the conditions for CUP#1132.
Should you have any additional questions please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely
Dane County
James Gregorius
Zoning Administrator
cc: Town of Cottage Grove
