REGULAR BOARD MEETING 2 <br /> April 11, 1994 <br /> Mr. Rose and Chuck Lipke of HyCite Corp. met with the Board <br /> regarding the hearing on the rezoning request for HyCite, under <br /> Dane County Zoning Pet . #5928 which is scheduled for hearing 5/10 . <br /> HyCite reps had a meeting with area residents ref their concerns <br /> and it seems that things have been worked out . Questions were for <br /> lighting after construction residents are to call HyCite if <br /> lighting is a problem; Notice out to all residents in the area that <br /> Holtzman Park is no longer there and no trespassing allowed; <br /> address the vandalism problems that HyCite has been having; <br /> landscaping as approved by the County; amended to show zoning for <br /> entire parcel except westerly 198 ft . ; move shed and dirt berm. <br /> After discussion, Mr. Theisen moved, seconded by Ms . Matthews that <br /> the Board approve Zoning Pet . #5928 for HyCite with the amendment <br /> that zoning request show that it be rezoned except for the westerly <br /> 198 ft . Motion carried. <br /> Mr. Rose discussed the status of Culmen St . parking. Mr. Spiegel <br /> of Evergreen has now stated that he has no objection to the <br /> elimination of parking on the north side of Culmen Street . Mr. <br /> Theisen moved, seconded by Ms . Brimmer that the Ordinance be <br /> adopted per attached copy. Carried. <br /> Mr. Rose stated that he felt that requests from the Parks <br /> Commission had to be prioritized before submission to the Dept . of <br /> Public Works . <br /> Todd Drive reconstruction project was then discussed. Gary <br /> Johannsen was also present . Mr. Rose has contacted Waste <br /> Management for contribution to the reconstruction at the request of <br /> the effected property owners at the last meeting. <br /> They have given no formal response but Mr. Rose requested a <br /> contribution of $20, 000 from them towards the project since 800 of <br /> the traffic is from their facility. American was also contacted <br /> and may contribute also if Waste Management does since they have a <br /> high volume of truck traffic as well . Mr. Rose recommended to the <br /> Board that we consider offsetting the assessments by $25, 000 to a <br /> residential rate for the reconstruction, rather than commercial . <br /> He was asked to check with Atty. Gerlach regarding the project and <br /> report back to the Board on 4/18 . <br /> Mses . Kerry Nollen and Tammie Kaman of Madison Festivals met with <br /> the Board regarding their previous request for the Mad-City <br /> Marathon which will be run through parts of the town; and finish <br /> with a concession at the Expo Center grounds . Chief Bloom and Lt . <br /> Gould were also present since they have been coordinating the <br /> function with this group, and other municipalities . They are - <br /> preparing a Parade/Street application for a permit to close off <br /> some of our streets temporarily on May 29, 1994 for the event; <br /> and a temporary Class B beer license .
