The RH-2 parcel was created consistent with adopted policies for the area; <br /> however, the request for a dog kennel raises potential use conflicts in the area. <br /> There are single-family homes on the two R-1 parcels along Goede Road. The R-1 zoning <br /> does not allow any animal units, while the RH and A-2 allow one animal unit per acre. <br /> This is a horse stable and house to the south, another house on the RH-1 parcel across the <br /> road to the west, and the RH-2 parcel to the north is currently vacant. <br /> A dog kennel, unless carefully sited and with specific limits, could cause use conflicts with <br /> the residential neighbors. <br /> The conditional use permit should be issued only if a site plan is presented which adequately <br /> protects the residential neighbors from noise and visual conflicts.
