PA YNE & DOLAN. INC.
May 2, 1994
Dane County Zoning Dept.
210 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
City-County Bldg.
Madison, WI 53705
RE: Conditional Use Permit
Payne & Dolan, Inc., acting as agent for the Owner, Hoffman Farms, Inc., hereby applies for
a Conditional Use Permit fps,the property described as: Tax Parcel #07-17-402. The legal
description of the land is: 1/4 NE 1/4 of Section 17, Township 8 North, Range 10 East,
Town of Burke, Dane County, Wisconsin.
Payne & Dolan, Inc. has been awarded the contract for the bituminous resurfacing of State
Project #6020-01-62 and other State, County, Township and Village work. The work on Hwy
51 is between STH 19 and STH 22.
Payne & Dolan, Inc. intends to erect a portable plant at this site for the purpose of producing
the asphalt mix to be used on these projects. These projects will be completed during the 1994
construction season.
The expected date to start this project is from July to September. The length of time the asphalt
plant will be at the site is four to six weeks.
This area is currently zoned A-1. This is a logical site for the asphalt plant, as the aggregates
for the asphalt mixture will be taken from the same site. The portable asphalt plant requires no
water, and is completely portable. No buildings of any kind will be erected.
We would like the Committee to take action on this matter at the June 14th hearing.
Enclosed is a proposed site plan.
Si cerely,
Dan Behrend
Project Manager .
Encl
DPB/drt
ASPHALT PRODUCERS AND CONTRACTORS SINCE 1930
5338 Norway Grove School Road
DeForest, WI 53532
(608) 846-4755
— An Equal Opportunity Employer —
