It has become apparent to the Town of Pleasant Springs that the night lighting aspect of the conditional use permit application is somewhat controversial. The basic CUP request to permit the use of the property in question for governmental park purposes appears to have no opposition. However, the Town Board would like to have the opportunity to take more public input on the night lighting issue and to attempt to arrive at a compromise that would be satisfactory to those using the park and local residents who are concerned. Therefore, pursuant to my telephone conversation of Friday, July 15, 1994, with Mr. William Fleck, we are respectfully requesting the committee to please postpone any further action on this matter for another month. This will give us the opportunity to obtain a definite recommendation from the Town' s Plan Commission and thereby make certain that all points of view have been adequately heard and considered. You will then be able to take up this matter on the occasion of your August work session. Thank you for your cooperation and for granting our request.
