The referendum will include the construction <br /> of a new elementary school on the district-owned site on Airport <br /> Road in the Town of Middleton or a site on County Trunk K in the <br /> Town of Springfield. The elementary school site will be included <br /> as an advisory question on the referendum. <br /> The district would like to begin construction of the proposed <br /> elementary school as soon as possible after passage of the <br /> referendum by the electorate. In order to accomplish this <br /> objective, the district is beginning the process of obtaining a <br /> conditional use permit for both elementary school sites. The <br /> original conditional use permit issued by Dane County for the <br /> Airport Road site has expired. The district will be applying for <br /> a new conditional use permit with Dane County in the near future . <br /> The district is requesting an opportunity to meet with the Town <br /> of Middleton Planning Commission in June regarding the district' s <br /> conditional use application and possible construction of a new <br /> elementary school on the Airport Road site . <br /> Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
