TOWN OF WINDSOR
4084 MUELLER ROAD
DEFOREST, WI 53532 ',.
PHONE ( 608 ) 846-3854
FAX (608) 846-2328
REC:i o
August 22 , 1994
Don Erickson by Certified Mail
& Elaine Erickson-Jones
7019 Lake Road
DeForest , WI 53532
RE: County Rezoning Petition #6018
Dear Mr . Erickson and Mrs . Erickson-Jones :
At their regular meeting held on August 18 , 1994 , the Windsor
Town Board voted to deny your request for rezoning.
The reasons articulated by the Board in support of this denial
are as follows :
1 . Incompatibility with the surrounding neighborhood . The
intrusion of 4 duplexes is incompatible with the character
of the existing large lot single family neighborhood
adjoining your property.
2 . The Don Erickson Subdivision which is currently under
construction was designed and approved for single family
residences . The 57% increase in density that you propose is
not supported by adequate street design and traffic
congestion may result .
3 . Your plan to increase the number of units in this
subdivision is not supported by any evidence that indicates
that the single family project approved last year has not
been successful--and that changing the density and character
of the neighborhood is necessary.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if additional information is
needed .
Sincerely,
Jim Bricker , Business Manager
Town of Windsor
JB: jas
cc : Bill Fleck L/
