APPLICATION FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT
Legal Description: The East 400 feet of the South 500 feet of the
Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 21, Town 7
North, Range 8 East, Town of Middleton, Dane County, Wisconsin,
except the East 200 feet of the South 200 feet thereof.
Tax Parcel Number: 19-0708-213-9500-0
(This is the parcel number for a larger, 40-acre parcel)
Proposed Use: Seasonal storage of recreational equipment and motor
vehicles owned by private individuals other than those residing on
the premises in the existing farm accessory buildings (Sec.
10. 12(3) (s) ) .
Time Schedule for Development: None. Use of existing buildings
only.
Reasons Why Property is Suitable: The property consists of typical
farm buildings which were part of an operating dairy farm until the
owner recently passed away, and the property was sold. The
adjacent farm fields have been enrolled in the CRP program, and the
farm is no longer viable. The existing buildings have access and
clearance which is ideal for storage of recreational equipment and
vehicles. All storage will be inside the existing buildings, out
of sight. The rent from the vehicle storage will encourage and
allow the owner to maintain the farm buildings, rather than let
them become dilapidated, unsafe and unsightly.
Site Plan: See attached. Existing buildings are shown by angled
lines . There are no proposed buildings. Access point is the
existing farm driveway. There is no parking area or landscaping or
screening.
I request that committee hold a public hearing on August 9,
1994, and act on this application at its meeting on August 23,
1994 .
Sincerely,
Thomas P. Walz
Owner
