Since my husband and I purchased it in April 1972, and <br /> for many years before that, it was not used for agricultural <br /> purposes. It was considered a separate parcel from our present <br /> residence, to which we obtained title in 1974 . In 1992 my husband <br /> requested that the two parcels be joined for tax purposes. In <br /> 1990 we signed an easement with the Lower Wisconsin Riverway <br /> to protect both pieces of property from development, with the <br /> exception of one more house to be built on either the western <br /> 300 feet or eastern 400 feet. This provision was made to allow <br /> for the possibility that one of our children would choose to <br /> build here. My husband died a year ago as the result of an <br /> automobile accident. Since I am 79 years old, my daughter Juliana <br /> has offered to move here so I will not be alone. The building <br /> site borders DNR property, and there are only two houses on <br /> that side of Highway Y between my house and Highway 78, a <br /> distance of about two miles. Most of the land east of my property <br /> is publicly owned. A culvert and driveway entrance to the parcel <br /> to be rezoned have been in place since before we bought the <br /> property. Construction of a septic system has been approved <br /> by Dane County. <br /> i 1 1 <br />
