SERVING THE FOLLOWING AREAS
• GENERAL OFFICES
1110 Harding Street P.O.Box 427 COLUMBIA COUNTY RICHLAND COUNTY
Janesville,Wisconsin 53547 DANE COUNTY ROCK COUNTY
(608)754-7701 IOWA COUNTY SAUK COUNTY
LYCON INC JEFFERSON COUNTY WALWORTH COUNTY
September 13, 1994
Dane County Zoning Committee
Room 201
Martin Luther King Blvd.
Madison, WI 53709
RE: Zoning Petition #6039
Dear Committee Members;
I am very concerned about the construction delay occurring on the Duane
and Joyce Haag project located on Hwy 19, in the Village of Marxville.
The concrete placed for the building slab was an interior designed
concrete with the understanding it would be in a heated environment.
The concrete placed is not a full air entrained concrete. It was
designed for a hard finish for easy cleaning and a safe environment .
The concrete was not designed to withstand freeze and thaw cycles such
as an exterior concrete. We are concerned that the top of the concrete
could pop off under climatic changes.
Cold weather will be here soon and our quality control is very important
to us and our contractors. It is imperative that building construction
commence to provide the quality floor that our customer expects. This
is a responsibility that Dane County Zoning should consider.
Thank you for your consideration and prompt attention in this matter.
Sincerely,
LYCON, INCORPORATED
Mary Theis, General Manager
