And to the possible modified rezone petition
affecting the same area but reduced from original approx. 17
acres to approx 4 or 5 acres for mini warehouse, storage
proposal.
This is written to formally inform you of resident opposition to
the proposed rezone petition.
1 . Rambling Acres Neighborhood Meeting. On Thursday, October 13,
upon very short notice (two days ) and in direct competition with
Packers/Vikings football game on National T.V. , a neighborhood
meeting occurred to consider this issue.
There were 17 neighbors in attendance. after considerable
discussion, vote was requested to get an exact count on those in
favor, those opposed.
On the Rezone Petition 6061 - 17 acres A-1 to C-2. The
vote was 17 opposed, none in favor. On the modified rezone
suggestion, that is approximately 4 to 5 acres A-1 to C-2 to
construct the mini warehouse- the vote was 17 opposed, none in
favor. Attached is a list of meeting attenders (copy) .
2. Following the meeting Gail Phippen, a neighbor and attendee,
decided to walk the neighborhood seeking signatures of residents
and neighbors opposed to the rezone request. Attached find four
pages with the signatures of 70 neighbors and residents. Rambling
Acres, from the intersection of Sprecher Road and County BB(Buckeye
Road) is approximately one-half mile from the land on which the
rezone request applies.
It is manifestly clear that the people who live in the area
-residents, neighbors are opposed to the rezone request.
The rezone request is inconsistent with the town land use plan
(attached letter of opposition from Plan Commission chair Steve
Glass) . The residents of the area are clearly opposed to the
proposal.
Conclusion, if you and the town board are to represent
citizens preference and the existing town land use plan, you must
totally reject the rezone petition #6061 and any modified version
of it.
C.C.
