Also see sign in sheet. <br /> Meeting was called to order at 7 p.m. by Chairman Pamperin. <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT: Supervisor Bedker raised Taff Water System Issue. Said a rate was <br /> filed with the PSC, who responded by saying they were not involved. Chair instructed Clerk <br /> to put it on Town Board agenda. <br /> MINUTES OF 9-12-94 MEETING: Commissioner Walters moved to approve minutes as <br /> presented. Second by Commissioner Franz. Motion carried. <br /> --- <br /> PUBLIC HEARING RE: PROPOSED ZONING PETITION #6068 & CONDITIONAL USE <br /> PERMIT #1987 BY THOMAS L. TRUAX, VFW POST 8483, TO CHANGE ZONING FORM <br /> Al- AGRICULTURAL TO B-1 LOCAL BUSINESS & ALSO ALLOW HORSESHOE PITS i <br /> LIGHTED AT NIGHT ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 5737 CTY CV, MADISON. Chairman <br /> Pamperin wanted record to show that Public Hearing was advertised in Star Newspaper on l <br /> 10/5 and 10/12, posted in three public places and 16 people were notified in letters by mail. <br /> Chairman read from Regional Planning Commission's report and stated that it appears to be <br /> j <br /> favorable to the land use plan and that it recognizes the Town of Burke plan. <br /> Judy Scott, VFW representative, supports zoning change from A-1 to B-1. Stated that she <br /> wants approval to build a "simple" shelter, which would require a change in zoning from <br /> Agricultural to business. Chairman commented that the airport planned expansion and was <br /> trying to get easements for noise and questioned whether that would affect their business. <br /> Discussion ensued, and Commissioner Franz made motion to approved. Second by / <br /> Commissioner Walter. Motion carried. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING RE: PROPOSED ZONING PETITION #6095 & CONDITIONAL USE <br /> PERMIT #1995 BY RICHARD STORY TO CHANGE THE ZONING FROM R-3 <br /> RESIDENTIAL & C-1 COMMERCIAL TO C-1 COMMERCIAL TO PROVIDE COMPLIANCE <br /> FOR EXISTING PARCEL & MULTI-FAMILY, TAVERN & LIGHTED OUTDOOR GAMES <br /> FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 5291 FELLAND ROAD, MADISON. Richard Story <br /> demonstrated from the 1966 survey map that all parcels of land in the Burke subdivision are <br /> inconsistently zoned. He wanted to know why zoning was changed for 34 feet of a half lot to <br /> correspond to its commercial use. He wanted to add onto the tavern to accommodate better <br /> access to it for patrons. in order to do that he had to have the zoning changed. Discussed <br /> conditional zoning and its necessity to have lighted and fenced sports (horseshoe pits) area. <br /> Wants the 300-foot addition to keep people from spilling onto the horseshoe pit area for <br /> better management of the establishment. <br /> Much discussion ensued regarding the noise and crowd problems and litter in the <br /> neighborhood stemming from the tavern. <br />
