SuperAmerica Group, Inc.
â– AIMIA
1240 West 98th Street
Bloomington, MN 55431
(612) 887-6100
SUPERAMERICA® (612) 887-6158 FAX
September 1, 1994
Mr. Lyman Anderson
Committee Chairman
Dane County Zoning and Natural Resource Committee
Room 116
City-County Building
Madison, WI 53709
Dear Mr. Anderson:
Conditional Use Permit #362 was issued on 12/14/83 for our current station/store
located at 6340 Lake Road, Windsor, WI. On October 1, 1992, SuperAmerica
purchased an adjacent parcel of land directly to the north of our original parcel. The
purchase of this property was completed to facilitate the rebuilding of our current store
and dispenser islands. This proposed rebuild would provide improved servicing for
current and future customers and their vehicles.
As part of the redevelopment of this facility, we are proposing to incorporate a `Taco
Bell' and `TCBY' yogurt food service area within the limits of the proposed building.
The addition of these services would present a more complete customer offering and
provide a single destination sojourn for freeway travelers. We also propose to provide
a `drive-up' service window integral to the Taco Bell and TCBY food service
operation. The window service would allow travelers more convenient access to the
proposed food service without entering the store. This will, in effect, relieve potential
traffic pressure in the designated parking areas and at the dispenser islands during peak
traffic periods. As a result, more convenient customer servicing will be provided.
The proposed redevelopment of this property would appear to be consistent with the
general commercial character of the immediate area and enhance the service provided
to freeway travelers. We feel that the proposed redevelopment would more
conveniently benefit our current customer base as well as accommodate any future
development which may occur in the area.
Our current proposal is to begin the initial construction sometime during October of
this year and completing the major construction phases next spring to avoid winter
SUBSIDIARY OF ASHLAND OIL, INC.
