The next order of business was to provide a forum for Mr. Field Morey from Morey Airport
to overview the various phases of expansion plans at the airport. Mr. Morey used this forum
to summarize Phase I through V of the development. It is his intention to move forward with
Phases I and flat this time. Public hearings have been held in various communities. A Steering
Committee served to guide the process. With the first two phases: approximately 35 acres
would need to be acquired and additionally easements would be necessary to accomplish the
plans. Mr. Morey indicated that public condemnation proceedings pursuant to state statute
would allow the completion of the project provided that all steps were followed. However, he
would like a working relationship with the community to resolve any differences. Further
phases are not definitive at this time due to a number of issues such as the location of Highway
12, availability of future funding, etc. Several area residents spoke in direct opposition to
expansion at the airport. The majority of these individuas own land and/or live in the
immediate icinity. Mr. Morey used his closing statements to recut that he was most willing
to work with all, constituents within the townshp to de '-:.push his master expansion plan. The
