This proposed site for horse shows and similar activities is in a farmland preservation area of <br /> the Town of Middleton. <br /> A 40-acre site, including this site, was proposed as a horse boarding and riding stable in October 1992. <br /> That CUP was opposed by the town and was withdrawn. <br /> This is a rural area; however, there are houses on virtually all of the small parcels shown on the map. The <br /> L-1 parcel to the northwest is for a fill dirt business. <br /> Since the specific use proposed is horse shows and apparently polo matches, this will mean extra horse <br /> trailers and spectators traveling to and from the site over town roads. <br /> If the site is approved it should have: <br /> A site plan including access points, parking areas, show grounds, provision for spectator <br /> seating and restroom facilities and fencing to protect participants and spectators. <br /> A specific limit to the number of events which can occur. <br /> - Specific limit on any commercial vending of food or other items. <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH DEPT.
